We will identify and recruit engineers as permanent employees of CIS, to work in our offices in Valencia, specifically based on your requirements. The services are provided on a flexible basis, offering you the opportunity to cancel any individual resource on one-month notice for any reason, without penalty.

This avoids all the typical upfront activities usually associated with outsourcing such as bid management, definition of independent tasks, milestones, deliverables, acceptance criteria, guarantees, warranties and conducting complex price negotiations. We provide our services on a simple price per person, per day basis. This eliminates the need for built-in costs to cover the risk of non-acceptance, late delivery and other risks. In today’s technology market this is often no more than a ‘perceived risk’, as many projects are so susceptible to change during the project lifecycle that no supplier is likely to be left with enforceable penalties for non-delivery.

Customised to your exact needs

We have designed a standardised framework for the implementation of our new solution, while retaining a certain amount of flexibility to customise the final solution, based on our individual customer’s needs. We can provide teams of engineers with various levels of experience including team leaders, who can report directly to your in-house management team. This allows you to retain the flexibility to change or enhance your project plans on a regular basis without having to renegotiate contracts with outsourced suppliers.

How it all works

CIS customers begin by identifying key areas of expertise in which they can benefit from long-term additional support. CIS will then go to the market to identify and recruit the best talent available as permanent employees of CIS and assign these engineers to a team to support you in your required functions. In some cases, CIS may already have existing engineers available, who are ideally suited to your projects and can be assigned easily to the new team.

We can provide teams of any size, starting with a hands-on technical team leader(s) who would act as the primary interface to your technical management. This team leader will also play a key role in the final selection of additional team members, as may be required. Larger projects may include additional team leaders or even project management capability, if required.

Each team is comprised of engineers with three basic levels of experience (junior, mid-level and senior / team leader). Each ‘Team Leader’ will act as a mentor and trainer to each Mid-Level Engineer, who in turn will act as a mentor and trainer to each Junior Engineer, in order to provide a comprehensive structure to enable the on-boarding of as many Junior Engineers as possible to gain maximum value from the overall program.

Step by Step

  1. The customer will provide a detailed specification of the nature of the work and the skills required to provide the services.
  2. CIS will provide a detailed proposal based on your requirements, including detailed pricing and sample CV’s of engineers at each level required.
  3. The customer will confirm acceptance of CIS’s proposal and enter into a framework agreement to provide these services, based on the CIS proposal.
  4. CIS will recruit the primary team leader(s) to begin providing the service and assist with the final selection of any additional engineers required. This person(s) can begin providing our services on a pilot basis, so you don’t need to commit to additional engineers until you are completely satisfied with this initial phase.
  5. CIS will issue a new individual agreement based on the overall framework agreement to the customer for each new engineer assigned to the team. These individual agreements may be terminated by the customer by giving one-month notice for whatsoever reason, without penalty, providing you with a highly flexible workforce.
  6. Once you are fully satisfied with the initial pilot phase, you have the option to extend this team or start additional team(s), based on your requirements. Team leaders will be responsible for training, mentoring and team leading of additional engineers. CIS will continue to identify and employ additional engineers as required.
  7. The CIS team will act as an extension of your own internal team, taking instruction from your designated technical leaders and delivering to the best of our ability. CIS team can join project planning or scrum meetings remotely and travel to your base occasionally for important meetings, as may be required.
  8. CIS shall carry out quarterly performance reviews with its engineers, based on feedback from your technical leaders and our management team.

In addition to the core Outsourced Workforce Solution, we can add expert ‘independent contractors’ on a modular basis from across the globe, to assist with rare skills requirements and subject matter knowledge. This will help to reduce project timelines, raise quality standard and accelerate the development and capability of the whole team.

CIS Work Package Solutions (Wpak) offers our customer the opportunity to outsource some of the more standalone tasks as independent Work-Packages or ‘Statements of Work’ (SOW). These Work-Packages are agreed on case by case basis with our customers, in order to define certain tasks, milestones, deliverables and acceptance criteria required under the service agreement.
